Not every picture is a winner, but this project is forcing me to take pictures everyday. Anyway, this is the track I run on. I'm currently training for the BKK Half Marathon that's taking place in about a month.

Predictions

There are many things that could happen this year....

I know I'll be in BKK teaching till the end of Feb with the option of extending into March. Once I am done teaching at the school there are summer camps I could possibly teach at too. I am not sure if Amanda is going to come out for a visit. If she does we'll be goofing around somewhere in the country for a few weeks then I'm going to get my dive instructor certification, most likely in Koh Tao but maybe in Bali or somewhere else.

Ideally I would love to sail down to Indonesia and start working on a liveaboard, but I am flexible. I'll sail anywhere (or even take a bus or plane) till I find a job. After working for a while I would love to get to PNG to work with the tree kangaroos. However, the country is having some issues and we'll see how things are in a couple months. If I don't go to Indonesia I would be very happy going to Oz or Mozambique or both or all 3.

At the same time I really want to go back to the states and work there for the summer season. Even though living abroad is a blast it's always hard to be away from family and friends. Not to mention my car is just sitting on the street because I was originally planning on leaving the country for only 5 to 6 months. If I do go back to the states I can go somewhere to dive instruct next winter.

Then there is always the option of finding a teaching position and signing a year long contract. And who knows if I'll break my leg or somehow end up in a full body cast. I may end up picking fruit in Australia or something else I can't even imagine yet. Normally I like having a 6 month plan but I can't even say what continent I will be on four months from now. It probably will not be Antarctica or Europe.

That's it.

Story behind the Project

Since I have given in to facebook, then the blogging thing I figured I might as well try doing the 'take one picture a day for a year' project. It always sounded like fun and it will hopefully get me to be creative with the photos. I take way too many when I'm out traveling and moving around but never seem to take any of things I see everyday.

For those of you who are not familiar with this project...there is basically one rule. Rule: I have to take one photo each day. And it will end up being 366 pictures total since its a leap year. I am going to skip the part where it has to be a picture of me every day....I want people to have an opportunity to enjoy the blog.

On new years day I was sitting around at the waterfall contemplating life- the world seemed perfect. It was the best way to start a year and I am excited to see what this year has in store for me. My life has not exactly turned out how I thought it would had you had asked me 10 years ago, but I like the direction it's heading. (and that's every direction) I can try to make predictions about what will happen this year, but everything in my life is more up in the air than usual. That's also why I think its going to be fun to photo document 2012.

Right now I am teaching Biology and Health in Bangkok, Thailand. This job ends in mid-March and then who knows......
